This week my little guy turned 2. It feels like he was only born yesterday, he is changing everyday....

There are some moments where I wish I could just freeze them, put them in a jar and keep them there forever.

Seeing Jacob turn 2 has really helped me to just stop and soak up the moment and put things into perspective. It is so easy to just keep going through the motions, and just try and get through each day. Some days I feel so exhausted and just drained but, my baby isn't going to be a baby forever. I have learn't to really appreciate the little things,

like getting up at 4.30am when Jacob has decided that he is ready for the day and wants to dance to the wiggles before I can even get my eyes open.

The sound of his little giggles when I give his kisses around his neck where he is ticklish the most

and, when he wakes in the middle of the night and says 'mummy, cuddles?'

My heart just melts

He fills my heart with so much love that I didn't even know was possible.

Resolutions Part 2

Today was the first day that I went to the gym after many many years. It was actually quite enjoyable!

I have spent way too much time being lazy due to a lack of energy, and with the little man becoming more and more active everyday, I want to be able to catch up with him! I hate waking up in the morning and taking 2 hours to wake up! Or relying on my 4 cups of coffee through the day.

From today onwards I promise I will go to the gym twice a week and eat as healthy as possible. (I will make sure to look back on this post when I am feeling lazy and giving up)

Well Hello January, Where did you come from?

Can you believe it?! ANOTHER year has passed and I still haven't a clue where it went! I am looking forward to a new year. I never do the whole 'Resolution' thing but this year I made one. My New Year resolution is to be organised.

Last year feels like it was such a mess. I was still getting use to what life was like with a baby and also started back at my old job... Working part time, being a mummy and running Odds & Blobs was just too much. After much thought I knew that I couldn't keep going with my online store if I kept working at my old job so after a long discussion with hubby, I decided to take the plunge. I put all I had into my store and it started doing really well. I wasn't really prepared for it and feel like I was running behind for most of the year.

I have closed my shop for a little bit while I build up my stock again but I promise that there will be lots of new items when it is up and running. Fingers crossed, I will be re-opening it next week. I have finally created a Facebook Fan Page so make sure you 'like' me to get the update!

For the time being, I am just enjoying being a mummy to the little man and taking it easy. Life is too short so it is good to stop for a bit and get perspective of what the more important things are in life.

Hello strangers....

Has it really been 5 months since I was last here? Seriously! It is just insane how fast time is going these days. My little guy has already turned 1! How did that happen? It feels like only yesterday he was still in my belly...

It has been sooo long since I last listed anything new for the shop as I have had a bunch of wholesale orders to fill which has taken up nearly all of my time. Not to worry though as I am sewing my little butt off to try and list a bunch of new pouches by the end of the week. There is LOTS in the making at the moment so make sure you check you the shop soon!

I have just listed my new range of fabric hand-bound books which I am SO excited about! Fingers crossed they do well as I would love to continue making these. I can finally put my love of fabric and notebooks together! A lot of love and time goes into these books so I hope that the person who might buy one loves it as much as I do!

I created a Tumblr account last year but didn't really get it so thought I would post it on here. I love reading through my blog every couple of months. It is amazing how quickly you forget moments. I wish I could keep an actual 'Journal' but it just doesn't feel the same as an online one where I could look back at photos :)

I know I know, it's nearly February and i am only now wishing you all a happy new year... Well it is better late then never right??

Life feels like it just keeps getting better. Jacob is now 6 months and I feel like we have FINALLY established a routine that works!! I have tried so many to only have it all go through the window in a week. Before now, I don't even think I could have called it a routine, lets just say, it was 'chaotic', seriously. I think most days I was running on about 4 hours of sleep thinking, 'Yeah I am tired but I have so much to do'... Well I learnt it the hard way... I ended up burning myself to the ground and was no good to anybody... I ended up crying at everything, poor hubby, everytime he would come home and say 'How was your day' it would turn into me crying without even being able to say a word! Ick, it was awful. But, things feel better now, I just have to remember that i am no good to anybody if I can't take care of myself!

Over the past week I have spent a lot of time doodling.. It is insane how it relieves stress, I now go to sleep thinking of things to doodle when I wake up... weird... I scanned a page which I did late last night, not the best but it was fun.
I would love to some day turn some doodles into fabric.

Last night I brought a SUPER COOL book from Amazon, It is called 'Doodling for Papercrafters'. It looks like a bunch of fun doesn't it!?

In other news, the shop has a few new goodies. I have added some new passport covers and pencil cases, a few were only one offs and they went quickly! I will try and post here next time I have some 'one only's' so you can take a peek before everyone else!

In other 'oh so exciting news' my super awesome sister is coming back from the UK in a couple of weeks!! As I will have a spare pair of hands it will mean that the pile of fabric sitting next to me should be able to be finally be touched! Most of the new stuff is going to be passport covers, I love making these covers... I was hoping to make some note book/journal covers but I am yet to make the decision...

The joys of motherhood

Being a mum is truly one of the hardest and most challenging jobs in the world despite what anyone says.

Nothing could have prepared me for what was to come.

The last five months has been so many things.
Happy
Tiring
Sad
Exhausting
Frustrating
Emotional
Joyful
Tiring... Did I say that already?

There are so many moments where I wish that I could stop the time and just have a minute and soak it all in.

The time where we both fell asleep on the floor exhausted.

When you woke up next to me and just smiled and did your sweet little baby talk.

When you tried to grab my face but left a big scratch under my nose because you don't quite
know what gentle means yet...

The smiles I get when I jump in front of you and tell you that 'I'm gonna get you, I'm gonna get you!

But then how frustrated you get because you want to play and sleep at the same time
and when you get annoyed because you don't know what you want.... And sometimes, either does mummy...

I think I expected there to be some kind of 'baby manual'. Somewhere that would tell me what I was suppose to do... But for some reason, I just can't seem to find 'this' manual.

I look forward to hearing the first word that comes out of that little mouth. What will it be? Mama? Daddy? bug?
Who knows, but all i know is that I don't want to miss it.

Ah the moments.....

I am in love.

I love you my sweet little Jacob, all I want is for you to grow up big and strong and most of all, happy.

Time has flown! I don't even know where to start with this entry, I think that is why I have been avoiding this blog. There is just so much happening that my brain feels all mushy.

My lil guy is almost 4 months, 4 months!! I started him on mushy cereal yesterday and he LOVES it! I have to say that I am so over bottle feeds and I think he is as well, I can just tell he wants something more.. feeding is now a lot of fun and we both really enjoy it.
Ok enough of the obsessive mama talk (I can talk about Jacob all day!)

In other news, I have opened up my first supply shop, Zips Galore. It has been long over due. It is just another thing to keep busy with. I love a new business adventure! At the moment the shop is only small but depending on the demand, I will be adding more colours and more sizes in the next few months.In other shop news, at the moment I am working on a wholesale order so the shop has been looking a bit sad.. i have loads of new items coming but I just need some time to take the photos, then I am all set!

Ok, gotta keep it short as not much time until the lil guy wakes up and I have a ton of dishes the wash up.

Ok, so I signed up to Twitter like a year ago... I never used it because I just didn't understand what all the fuss was about. For some strange reason I went back yesterday and now I am truly addicted!! How does this happen!? I now sit on my mobile looking at what is new on Twitter while waiting for the little man to fall asleep (he tends to get a bit upset when I leave the room, but we are working on making this better). Over the past week I have listed my new Travel Gift Sets. I think these just make the perfect Christmas gift for anyone who loves to travel! You can buy the items separately but you save if you buy the passport cover and eye mask together! I will be adding some more sets in the next coming weeks.

At the moment I am working on a bunch of new monster pouches. These are some little babies in the making, they are just waiting to be eye balled and smiles to be sewn, then onto pouches they go!! Don't forget, all of my monster pouches are unique and are NEVER relisted. Another perfect Christmas present :)

Has it really been that long!?

Oh my! It feels like I haven't blogged in weeks! Where do my days go?? I have been trying to find a minute in a day to get so much done! I have soooo many news items to be sewn up but where do I start I keep saying to myself!! I have been busy with orders and sending these out to customers is my top priority so often listing new items which have been made up weeks ago can take a while! Good news is that I have updated the shop with new eye masks and new pouches! I listed 5 new pouches last night and they are all made from NEW fabric so my store is looking nice and fresh :) I also have a bunch of new fabric coming in the next week so again there will be lots more to look forward to!
I can't believe that I have spend more time on my shop now that I have a baby then I did when I had a day job. I think it is because I move so much faster as every minute that jacob is sleeping is precious time! It doesn't last long so I have to make the most of it! At the moment he is napping only a couple of times a day and they are only about 1-2 hours long. I am lucky to get 3 hours some days!!

Ok, enough said, I have a sleeping baby and new passport holders to be finished!!

Quiet days..

You may have noticed that the shop has been a little bit quiet over the last week.. Finding sewing time each day is much harder with a baby then I thought it would be! I think I have been fitting in around 1 hour every couple of days but fear not! I will be adding around 10 new pouches and pencil cases next week. We have some relatives staying with us at the moment so i am not sure if anything will be added this week but I will do my very best :)

Last time I mentioned that I had a new item coming in the the shop! I now have sleep eye masks available in the shop!! A few have sold since I listed them so I think there are only a couple more left but I have a bunch more waiting to be sewn up (just need more time in the day!!)
I cant help but think how much I could have ready to put in the shop if I had a whole day free.. Some how I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon...

Oh my, what a week!

This week I reopened the shop!! I am not sure if it is a crazy thing to do with a 3 week old baby. I have been having some withdrawals without my shop, I think it helps me to keep my brain going. I had no idea how hard it would be to run on broken sleep. I think I am getting around 4-5 hours sleep a night! It is hard to stop during the day to take a nap. Thankfully the little man has been quite sleepy during the day. This gives me some time to list new items and pack orders. Christmas time should be a hoot!!

I have listed a few of my monster passport covers. I am sooo in love with these!! I listed a bunch of monster pouches the day i reopened but they sold straight away so I have some more in the making at the moment. If you want one you will have to be quick!!

Before I go I have to leave you with the latest photo of the little man. It was taken when we got out of the bath. awwww this guy just melts my heart! I love you baby boy xoxox

I am super excited to let you all know that my shop will be RE-OPENING within the next week!
I have felt a bit lost without it to be honest, even though I am in desperate need of getting more sleep than I am at the moment I can't help but want to get back in touch with new and existing customers!

While I was sitting around for the little man to make his appearance I spent a lot of time creating new items for the shop as it had been a while since I added some new stuff. I am excited to show you all my monster passport covers along with many new other designs. I have over 30 NEW items to be added once the shop opens which will give my shop a bit of a face lift. (Sorry about the bad photo, it is hard to get a moment to pick up the camera these days without Jacob wanting to be held every minute of the day).

I also have a secret new product which will be hitting the shop in the next week. I found a great need for this item after the arrival of the little one but you will have to wait to find out what it is!!

Last night we took Jacob out for a little drive. He looked so cute in his little white outfit, he looked like a little eskimo hehe.

Well time to take as many photos as I can get of the new items so I can start listing everything!!

Happy 1 week birthday little one!

I cannot believe it has been one week since little Jacob was born! Time has gone so fast!! We are all learning that he likes to sleep during the day and want to stay up all night! Hopefully we will grow out of that soon!! I am starting to look like the green eyed monster.

It is amazing how you learn to do everything so much quicker when you have a baby. I used to potter around doing the washing, having a shower, cleaning the house, now it is, wham bam thank you mam!!!

I have also learned how to type with one hand while he is sleeping on my chest and doesn't want to be put down. I think I should have this new typing technique to perfection by the end of the week!! :)

Baby Jacob is here!!

And he is so precious!! I was induced on Saturday night (25th July) and had a very quick 2 hour natural labour with no drugs at all! I still can't believe it! I am so in love with this little guy, I spend every waking hour with him. Oh yeah, he is a whole 9 pound baby!! (4kgs). I am sure to be posting many more pics of him :)

Time to try and get some sleep before he wakes up! :)

The count down is on!! I am only hoping that this little guy comes out soon. There is only so much day time TV I can watch. I haven't updated the shop in a long time mainly because I know that it soon will need to be closed. I am saving all of my new stuff I have made for when I reopen.

I have closed my made it shop (well, it still is open as you can't put it in vacation mode) but any orders that do come through will have to wait to be contacted on when I will be able to start sewing again. My Etsy shop will close tomorrow night.

It is so hard to know when I will be able to reopen as I still don't know what I am in for but all I do know is that I will be spending every waking hour with my new bundle of joy. I truly cannot wait to hold him in my arms! I think I might just because one of those obsessive mums, he is all I can think about!

I will be sure to update this space with some pictures of him as soon as he is here!!

I will also still be checking my email regularly (thanks to having an awesome mobile with email-how did I live without it before!) so please continue to send any emails if you have any questions!

Where to start...

I have been busy this week! I had a large custom order and finally got around to finishing my memo pad covers. I LOVE them! They came out so much cuter than I was expecting!! You can find them in the shop but be quick! The Blue Garden one has already gone! Next on the 'to do list' is A5 Journal Covers.

This was the custom order which I just finished! Now time to focus on more new things!!

My back hurts...

I think my baby has dropped... I have such bad back pain and I feel like there is a brick lying on my bladder... Only 9 weeks to go.. Is this where it all goes downhill I till I meet my little man. Here is a little peek of what I am looking like at the moment... A chubba if you ask me :) (excuse the bad photo, mum's camera was about to die).

On the weekend I also relocated my craft room to the back of the house. The light in this room is sooo much better and I have a lot more space. I have finally setup two separate sections. craft table and computer/laptop desk. Before I had my laptop with my sewing machine and I was always becoming distracted and never got anything done!

Well that's it for now... I think I need a back rub :(

Eek! I need to have a sort out!

My stock box is starting to over flow. I need to invest in a few more of these boxes! I might even need to soon have a sale and try and make room for lots more new stuff!I have added lots to the shop in the lat few days! I have really enjoyed making my new gadget pouches. I love them all! Your camera is sure to be safe in one of these babies!!

And on a Molly update, well, $350 later we found out that she is ok. The vet couldn't find anything really wrong with her ear so he has given us some ear drops. she doesn't like them too much :/

I am trying to keep myself busy because we had to take our little doggy to the vet tonight. The poor little thing has had an itchy ear for about a week now so they have had to sedate her to fix it... We are waiting for a call to know when we can pick her up. I felt so bad leaving her, she was very sad :(

In the mean time I have tried to keep busy with finishing up my new gadget/camera zip pouches. These pouches have padding inside so they are PERFECT for your camera or phone. I didnt realies how hard it is to work with padding! I think all up I did 3 prototypes to get it perfect! I have also top stitched near the zip so it looks neater. What do you think??

Off to make lots more!! (And hope that the vet calls soon!)

Back from Holidays!

Queensland was so awesome! We did lots of shopping and eating. I had to come back and share with you all the most coolest chocolate place we went to for breakfast!! Check it out!! It is a place called Max Brenner.

It was chocolate overload, we felt sooo sick afterwards!

It is nice to be back home though. My baby belly is getting bigger by the day so it is nice to be in the comfort of our home. I can;t believe that i am 30 weeks!! Not long to go now! I also got straight back in to sewing. It is so sad but it is all I wanted to do while I was away! Is that bad??

Good news was that I got one of my custom orders finished today. I fall in love with everyone of these monster pouches. It is hard to part with them!

I have plans to bring out a bunch of new monster stuff soon! I won't give too much away yet, you will just have to stick by. It shouldn't be too long!

Today was a fun filled day!! I started the day with some house work and then headed off to the shop. I got some super cute stuff too!! I was also in need of a new note book for my new ideas and got the cutest one I could find! Only $2.5o too!! Gosh I LOVE $2 shops! Are they just the greatest!? It is amazing what stuff you can find there!

I have also OFFICIALLY finished my full time day job. I still can't quite believe it. It doesn't feel real yet. I am really looking forward to heading off to Queensland to get some rest and see some family. I think I will then be ready to go on with bigger and better things with Odds & Blobs.

I will try and check in while I am away and let you know how it is all going.

I thought I would just quickly update you all and let you know that not much will be happening in the shop over the next couple of weeks.

I have been really sick over the weekend and because I am pregnant I can't take anything for it so my recovery has been slow. This is my last week at my 'real' day job which is very exciting! After Thursday I am a free woman until baby junior comes! I will be spending most of this time working on new and exciting things for the shop. So I promise there will be lots happening in the middle of May.

Husband and I are also heading off to Queensland on the weekend so any orders place after that date be be sent out the week after however I will still be checking my emails.

So much sewing to be done!

Isn't it amazing how you can go months and months with no motivation and then BOOM! There isn't enough time in your day to get everything done which you wanted to do? I have had a blast making new items for the shop on this long weekend. I have a bunch of coin pouches sitting here to be sewn up and listed. I didn't realised that I only had 1 coin pouch in the shop so I will be stocking up the shop next week with all new coin pouches! You can have a sneek peek above to see the first ones which will be listed. I have also started to use interfacing on all of my new pouches. This will make them a bit more sturdier.

I don't know if I mentioned it in my last post that I am going to be making up some travel wallets... Well I was hoping to have at least one made up by now but it has just taken so long to get the pattern right as I am making this all from scratch. It is 100% my own design. Hopefully I will have the prototype made up by the end of the week. It all depends on how much patience I have :) I have stopped and started the project about 10 times already!

I cannot believe it! The Easter long weekend is here! I have started my morning early and finished all of the house work for the weekend so I can spend the WHOLE weekend making more new items for the shop!

I have listed the first batch of my 2 tone pencil cases. The top one is my fav :) Last night I also finished up some new passport covers, oh they are soooo cute!!! I am in love with them all. I will take photos of them today and add them to the shop.

I am also working on a new design for a travel wallet to hold your documents, boarding pass, a pen, coins and other goodies. I am super excited! I have been stuck in a rut for so long that it is nice to be able to have the motivation to want to make new stuff. I just wish the sales would pick up.... Oh well, it just means more time sewing instead of packing orders.

My Cupcake Obsession

I have been busy loading up the shop with lots of new items with NEW cute fabric. My FAVOURITE at the moment is the Patchwork Cupcake fabric (in the above image). I can't help but want to make everything with this fabric!! I have some passport covers soon to be listed in the shop also with this fabric.

NEW Monster Packaging

I have finally updated my monster packaging!! I love it! it is hard to see in this photo but it has a nice yellow background and a little drawing of one of my favourite monsters, (my first monster I made actually!)

Shop RE OPENED!

Well after a lovely 2 month break I have decided to get back into it!! I am starting off slow so I have just re-listed some old stock but I am slowing making new items. You might have also noticed that I have added my Monster keyrings and brooches to my shop. I started to put these in a separate shop but soon learned how hard it is to run 2 shops!! I have more monster items coming and well as new pouches so hopefully it doesn't look too all over the place.... I can't help but make these little guys. They make crafting fun. I love sewing but being able to play around with felt and buttons just makes it that little bit more fun and mixes things up a bit!

Temporary Shop Closure

You might have noticed that my shop is now empty, I have decided that I will be taking my Christmas break early. My reason for this is because DH and I are pregnant and I am struggling to keep up with orders and do not think that it is fair on my customers to wait longer than they should for orders to be shipped out.

At the moment I am unsure of WHEN Odds & Blobs will re open but watch this space as I will let you know as soon as my door opens. I WILL BE BACK, I just really need a break as this year has been incredibly full.

Eek! I can't believe that it has been over a month since I last posted! Life has been a bit crazy. I have marked one thing off my list though, BRANDING! I have spend lot of time and money doing up my logo, packaging, business cards and goodies to put in my package. I like to add a bit of fun when people get my parcel in the mail! You will have to buy something in my shop to see the new upgrade :)

I have just listed a few new pouches. These have been sitting on my desk for about a month just waiting to be listed. I think taking and editing photo is the one thing I don't enjoy about having an online business! It is amazing how long it takes! And then to sit down to 50 photos and realise that the lighting wasn't right of that my hair was in the way! eek! annoying!

Christmas is approaching soon so make sure you stock up on pouches before they all go!

A Fresh Start

Odds & Blobs has itself a brand new logo! I had hit a big low with my stores and just didn't have any motivation. I think I was just in big need of a rest. I have just listed some new items in the shop so make sure you stop by and have a look.

I have sooo much new fabric but just haven't found the time to finish everything. I have a few orders to pack today but once that is done I will be on the sewing machine for the rest of the night.

So I don't have any photos to upload today. My computer decided that it didn't want to play any more and crashed. I lost EVERYTHING. The wost thing which I lost was all of my bookmarks and inspiration! I had been visiting pages that I had bookmarks 5 years ago! I think it is going to take me MONTHS to remember them all! so far I have added 10. It is going to be a lonnnng night....

I am not sure what has been happening but for the first time in 2 years I lost all of my passion and motivation for Odds & Blobs. Since we moved house I just haven't been able to get into anything... I have so many ideas in my head and a pile to the roof of WIP. I also have so many NEW fabrics which I haven't even touched yet! I don't know what is wrong with my. I think I need to work on making my craft room a bit more inviting. at the moment there is just no colour :(

Well enough of my whinging! It is a long weekend so I have written myself a 'To Do List', now I just need to stick to it and not get distracted. Hopefully next time you check back I would have listed a few more things in my shop. That's the plan anyway!

Wow, what a messing and full on few weeks I have had.

We have finally moved house and I love it. I now have so much space! I am in heaven! BUT Telstra have been messing us about for weeks now telling us for the past 2 weeks that our phone will soon be connect but it still hasn't happened so today we just went out and an brought a wireless internet thinggy so we can be online. I had no idea just how lost I would feel without the internet. It really did feel like I had lost an arm.

Good thing about it was that I got lots done around the house and when I wasn't cleaning I was making new items for the shop. Sooo many new things to be listed!! I need to start taking pictures! I dont think many people have any idea just how much time it takes to run a shop online :(

I also had time to make lots of new monsters! (I just need to get them listed!!) My logo and packaging STILL isn't finished which is killing me!! I just feel like everything is everywhere :( I havent made a sale in my monster farm shop but I am mostly to blame as I opened the shop at the worst time (during the move!)

And the orders were still getting packed :)

The Start of MONSTER FARM!

Lotsssss has been happening! I finally have got my Monster store up!!! Say Hello to MONSTER FARM! This is my new etsy store which has all of my monster items. My logo and packaging is still in the design process but it hopefully wont be too far away! I have sooo many more monsters sitting next to me to be photographed and listed.

I am also in the middle of moving house at the moment too! we have sold our 2 story town house in the city and are moving into a 4 bedbroom home just outside the city. I will not miss the stairs that is for sure!! At the moment we are camped out in the kitchen as we have packed up everything.
My shop will still run as normal though :) I have my packing supplies right next to me :)

I have also taken part in a blog giveaway at onthedotcreations which I am really excited about. I haven't done anything like this but I am trying to promote a bit more seeing as the market is a bit slow at the moment. It should be interesting! Make sure you check it out as you can score a few freebies! Goodluck!

The absent Blogger is baaaaack

Immmm backkkkk

I have been such an absent blogger lately! BUT I have an excuse! LOTS has been happening. We brought a new house and just sold ours so we are moving in 2 weeks! I cannot wait! I have a new craft room!

I have also been busy on a couple of other crafty projects. I have just listed a heap of Passport Cover/Holders. I have lots more to list so make sure you check them out throughout the week!

You might also remember my little monsters? Well, I have been working on a new branding and a new shop for these guys. I am just working on the finishing touches so check back real soon!
I was originally adding them to Odds & Blobs but just found that they looked so awkward in the shoppe. I am having such a blast making them. I love being able to draw up a new creature and bring it alive, they are all just so cute and unique. I spotted Shane on Giolou' flickr page! I couldn't believe it when I saw him. I am glad he went to a great home!

Yep, I know, it has been a while... but the good thing is I have some new things to share! My paypal account was finally looking nice so I went on an etsy shopping spree! Oh the goodies! I think it was more fun then going down the mall.
My favourite purchase of all was the cool wallet I brought from Cotton Purr. her stuff is GORGEOUS!

Lilly also underwent a make over!! She now looks so cute! Lilly wants to have it shorter but I have told her that I will need to think about it. Do you like her outfit?? It was from Hilarywagstaff. She has some really cute blythe clothes! As Lilly is starting to send me broke, I am thinking about making her some clothes myself.... (Another project to add to the list!)

Oh it has come out so CUTE!! As I don't have have any coloured ink in my printer I had to improvise. I doodled Timmy (my first little monster) and added a little jiggly eye!! My little monsters are flying out the door into new homes!! I now only have Sammy Shelly and Harry. They are getting lonely so make sure you stop by and say hi!

Wow! I have finally made 100 sales!!! Thanks everyone for helping me get there!!! The hard work is starting to pay off. March was slow to start off with but since I have started my pouches, I have noticed more and more views. It is a nice change from cutting and gluing. I love my blobs but fabric is a nice change.

Oh and my cherry pouch was in a treasury!! It is one of my favourites!!

I am in the process of adding lots more new pouches tonight but I am also working on my Little Guy Keyrings. I have been through quite a few prototypes but slowly getting there!! Here is a little peek :o)

Oh They have been so fun to make!! I was up for half of the night listing them in my Etsy Store!

No sales yet but a few views. Hopefully they sell well as I have just brought over $150 in new fabric which should be here in a few weeks. Oh I am so excited!!! It is nice to mix things up abit. I havent been sewing for ages!

I have also finally redone my flickr page!! It was a dumping ground for a while but it now looks nice and organised!! I have also joined a few groups which has been fun. Gosh, I could live on the computer!! Thank goodness for the long weekend!

I was also looking through some of our happy snaps in QLD. I think this is a really cute one :) It is now my desktop image :)

I am finally home! oh it was sooo much fun. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous. It went so well and I couldn't have asked for anything more!! Above is a little fun snap shot of us at the reception.. I am waiting to get the photos back from everyone else. Thats the good stuff :)

Today I went and did a little bit of shopping and brought lots of colourful goodies!!! This fabric will be used for my upcoming zipper pouches line which I am so excited about. My fabric collection is just getting too big and I need to finally put it to good use!!

I also forgot to show you all my new addition!! Sammy brought me my ASUS eee Laptop!!!!! I love it!!! I spent so much time using it on the trip away. It only weighs 900 grams and is so small!!!

Well it has been nice to get away as I have had the time to myself to really sit and think about new ideas for my store.

My Etsy store has been inactive for a few weeks now as I burnt myself out over Christmas and wasn't really ready for it as it was my first year. After the success i had over Christmas it was hard to go back to a sale a week or even 1 every 2 weeks! I often have moments where i think are people really going to want to buy my items in a few months time. Especially when i make 10 items and upload them over a few days and only get couple of hits and not one sale. I have such a huge drive to want to make Odds & Blobs really something but just find it hard to know where to really look to get it to where i want it.

I have been lucky to have been approached by Georgie Love. It was the biggest compliment to have someone ask to sell your stuff and Sally does a really fantastic job with her website. she has a fantastic selection of artists.

I have been planning on adding some new lines for a while but just have not had time on my side as my job is so demanding and takes alot out of me. In the coming weeks I am working on a range of notepads, zippered pouches, pencil cases and cute keychains. I have been meaning to do it for so long as i have this huge stash of fabric but just no time to put it to good use and i haaate wasting good fabric.

My wholesale order is now finished! Oh it looks so cute on its box! I can't wait to see how they go in the new store they are being sent off to. Hopefully this is the first order with many more to come!! When I first starting listing on Etsy my dream was to have my items sitting in a store for resale! It is the biggest compliment!

Today I also discovered a new website!!! It is Pinkdoodle! oh I can't help but laugh at the name *giggles*. It is a online place to buy and sell 'creative goods'. It is very much like Etsy but it is a UK site which i nice for a change. I am listing most of my Esty items to fill my shop up but will be adding some new stuff in the coming weeks (I just need to fine the time :( ).

I also have something I want to save up for. It is the cutest laptop I have EVER seen! And its PINK!!! Argh!! *jumps up and down with excitement* It is Asus EEE and I want it soooo bad!! It is tiny! Now I need you to all go to my store and shop shop shop. I only need a whole $500!! I will send you a thousand thank yous!!

For the past 2 nights I have been working on my first wholesale order! It has been a lot of fun but extremely tiring as I am doing 11 hour days at my full time job (to help support my crafting addiction). Now all that is left to do is cover the pencils to go with the sets! Then the painful part... Packaging.. my packing can take me hourrrsssssss. But I alway get good feedback which makes it all worth it :)
After doing this order I can barely type as 4 out of my 10 fingers are all burnt from the hot glue :(

Today I have been working on some new items for my store.
I have created a little stationery on the go kit. Perfect for keeping in your bag for the times when you need to jot something done while you are on the run! Unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice... I am having a bad camera day, i think my batteries might be dying.

I have also been stocking up on some more thank you gifts to put in my little packages I send to customers. I have made some note match books with lined paper and stamped with my own hand carved stamp. I must say, I am really building up a collection of my stamps!! I keep thinking 'what can I carve and stamp now!' I just want to stamp everything!! My biggest trouble I am having is finding large erases!! Every shop I go to stocks the same ones!!

All of this stamp talking has got me wanting to carve a new one! Argh! help me, I think I might have a new addiction!

These are my new little beauties! I absolutely LOVE them!! They are my new note card sets now available in my etsy store. I have designed a range of different colourful sets which have been stamped with my hand carved stamps which were made by my two little hands. Every set is 100% handmade from the cutting of the envelopes, folding gluing to stamp carving. I am making more and stamps all the time so in the next couple of weeks I hope to have many more sets!!

I have been busy for the past couple of days working on new items ready to send off to Georgie Love!!

I also organised my fabric! I finally have everything in a more organised state, as before it was a mess!! I am hoping to be able to list a few of my wristlets and pouches on Etsy in the next couple of months (after I get all of my other custom order finished!)

I have also been browsing around Etsy this week and came across Jelene. She has some awsome pieces which are very fun and colourful! I think her stuff will be in my new list of 'things to buy'!!

My New Years Resolution...

I don't usually make one as I never stick them it but this year I am going to try really hard to be organised. Last year I fluked it and think I did ok but I not only need to keep my life organised, I need to keep my Esty store organised as it is picking up I need to make sure everything is in order.

I have wanted to have a white board in my room so I can see things which need to be done in a glance but now my wall is nicely painted, the last thing I want to do is go sticking things on it so I needed to improvise. I came up with some pretty ribbon which I think goes beautifully!

I also needed to sort out my packaging for my blobs. I have been able to get away with the normal zip lock bags but my packs are now changing quite a bit and the zip lock bags are just not working any more. I have given cellophane a go. It is extremely fiddly and takes a lot more time but I think it looks quite nice. Packaging is one thing which I try to improve on all the time as this is one thing as that is what can make or break your product or brand. I think my blobs look attractive in their new little packs :)

After painting my craft room I have been full of ideas! Gee, why did I take so long to get it done!!

I have just listed my new stationery sets! I love them!

I have now included 2 new items to make my original office sets a bit more interesting. I finally found some BIG pebble and JUMBO paper clips! I have also included a matching pencil in the set. I will soon be adding pencil sets which will be around 10 pencils for $5. I think these will make really nice gifts :)

Craft room makeover!

The holidays are here and it is time to do up the craft room!! I have been running low on ideas for my Etsy store and had hit a real low so S agreed to take me to Bunnings and get some PINK paint for my room! (Gosh I feel like a child!!) AND it looks fantastic!! Here is a peek of how my craft room used to look!And Tada! this is now what it looks like!!

Isn't it beautiful!!! I brought a nice PINK chair from Ikea and some little baskets and other pink things to make my room look more beautiful. I am hoping this will now lift my spirits so I can get back into making things!

Today I had a big package waiting for me!! Lilley was delivered!! Isn't she beautiful!
I will post lots more pictures soon but she is fairly tired from her long trip.

Etsy is still going strong! Another order last night while I was sleeping. I am nearly up to an order a day. hopefully I will soon be saying 5 orders a day! Okay, maybe I am getting a bit ahead of myself.

I am really excited to be working on some new designs for my coasters. They have been a hit so far!

I recently discovered madeit.com.au. It is handmade site similar to Etsy for Australians to sell but the good news is EVERYONE can buy from there!

I have so far made 2 sales in a week and I have only listed a couple of items!! There are heaps more to come but I just wish time was on my side!!

I have also been offered to sell my items on Georgielove.com.au!! The website is run by Sally and she has done a fantastic job. There are LOTS of sellers on there so you should stop by and check it out! Hopefully my items will be listed by the end of this month (that is the plan anyway!)

MY SPINDEL HAS ARRIVED!!!

OK! Now you have to excuse the excitement!! I have been waiting for this allll week and it is here!!! I can now give spinning ago! I brought it from a Barca1au on ebay who sells some really good starter packs. It has been the best thing that I have ever brought!!

I have told people 'hey guess what! I am going to start spinning my own wool' and they look at me with this blank look on their face and say 'umm huh? what does that mean.' 'everyone I told had no idea how the wool they knit with is made! Well either did I until a few weeks ago!
I couldn't wait to start hand carding my own so it was the second thing I did when I got home. I brought 2 dog brushes and it seems to do the job well with small abouts of fiber. The above is Romney which is quite thicker than the merino which I got. It is actually quite fun! I think I might really enjoy this thing!!

Hopefully I will be able post some pictures on the weekend as I don't have much planned!! (I made sure all my house work was done before today!! :)

My own craft room and a new fabric stash

I finally have my own craft room!! Sam brought all my stuff up stairs on Monday night and suprised me! I love it! I have managed to keep it tidy all week!! The only bad thing is, he doesn't see me anymore as I am up here all the time!! But the good thing is, I don't have the 2 animals bothering me any more and I have the WHOLE floor to my self!

And what do you know! I have more new fabric!! I just cant help my self! When I go shopping I have to at least buy 1 meter of something!! Do you think it is an addiction?

The only thing I have had time to do all week if make my little fabric canvases. I am hoping to get them on my wall by the end of this week!
Next project which I hope to tackle today (other than my washing) is my passport/travel wallets.

A completed project!

Ok, I know I said that I was going to make some journal covers but I was dying to try and quilt fabric. I think I am addicted!! It is so fun! (yes, small things amuse me) I had some boring pink cotton fabric which was just sitting there so I figured if I stuffed it up it was no big loss but I think it turned out really well.

I had a go at a make-up bag. I think it is the best bag that I have ever done! I almost wanted to make a Chanel rip off :)

After all that hard work I sat down with a nice big bowl of vanilla ice cream with ice magic. Yum!

Tomorrow I am going to have a go at a quilted handbag! Mine at the moment looks tragic, but I love it and just connot part with it! even though it looks like it has been run over about a million times!

Shopping for more craft supplies!

This morning was fun fun! I put my hand out to the boy and said 'can i have some pocket money today to buy some more crafts Sam' so we made a deal - I could have $50 if he could by a playstation III. I was like yeah that sounds fair! NOT... But to make him happy, of course i said yes :)

It was great! Spotlight had some good deals on but i still managed to spend the money in a matter of 15 mins.

I am thinking of making a few note book and journal holders!

These are the little books I brought to put inside. They are probably to cute to put them inside of fabric covers but I will make the covers so that you can change the book which goes inside...

I had a go and my little finger food puppets today... they turned out ok but not as cute as I would have hoped. I thought that using the sewing machine would be easy but I think I might try and hand sew them next time around.

I then thought I would try a cube! It is something that I had ever tried and to tell you the truth, I really don't have a clue about sewing but i know i want to know how this thing works. Other than that and having every edge that didn't match up, I was really happy with the end product!!! ( please excuse the dodgy photo, I really need to work out how to get that thing in focus!)

Well again, I have decided to start up another blog! I think that this might be my third! This one will be dedicated to my crafts and hobbies. My new favourite thing is PLUSHIES and just lots of cute things.

Last night I made my first oddity. His name is Jeremy and he is not to sure what team he goes for.. he is some what.... feminine but cute! He likes to hold onto my pencils while am making new friends for him. He is the first of many odds n blobs to come.

Today I went to town and raided the fabric scrap bins! It was fantastic! I spent about $10 and got about 10 different bits an peices.

I have also be drawing new ideas. I am going to make some little monster finger puppets and some food finger puppets. (try not to pay any attention to the BAD spelling. It was very late :P
